On July 30, 2013, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 26 on the direction and tasks for the development of Nghe An province until 2020. This is a document demonstrating the Politburo's special attention to President Ho Chi Minh's homeland; orienting and creating motivation to help the province develop commensurate with its position, role and potential.

In 2019, the Politburo reviewed and evaluated 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26; at the same time, issued Notice No. 55, which set out tasks to continue implementing Resolution No. 26 and organize a summary in 2023.

Implementing Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo, Nghe An province has coordinated with central ministries, branches and localities to strive to implement the set orientations, goals and tasks.

With high determination and great efforts of the political system, the people and the business community, the socio-economic situation in Nghe An has achieved many important achievements in many fields.

The scale of the province's gross domestic product is increasingly expanding, now ranking 12th in the country, contributing 12.43% of the regional economic scale and 1.85% of the country.

The economy maintains a fairly high growth rate and is higher than the national average; in 2022 alone, the growth rate of the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 9.08%, the budget revenue exceeds the 20 trillion VND mark; foreign investment attraction reaches approximately 1 billion USD, for the first time ranking in the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI capital in the country.

Some areas are gradually shaping up as the center of the North Central region, such as: healthcare, education and training, finance, banking... Cultural and social fields, ensuring social security continue to receive attention and direction. The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved.

National defense and security continue to be maintained, social order and safety are ensured, and foreign affairs are strengthened and expanded.

The leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels have been enhanced; the government and organizations in the political system have made many innovations, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations. The great national unity bloc and the people's trust in the Party and the State have been increasingly consolidated.

The Party Committee, Government and People of the whole province have been and are determined to build Nghe An homeland to become increasingly rich and developed as Uncle Ho wished during his lifetime.

This morning, in Vinh City, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee coordinated with the Central Economic Committee to organize a scientific seminar: "Orientation for Nghe An province's development to 2030, vision to 2045". This activity is part of the program to prepare a report to the Politburo summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 26.
