After 72 years of building, fighting and growing, the armed forces of the whole country in general and the armed forces of the province in particular have achieved many glorious feats, defeated the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists, protected the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, upheld the revolutionary nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", set an example, strived, overcame all difficulties and challenges, excellently completed assigned tasks, achieved many great and proud achievements, and made an especially important contribution to the cause of building and developing the country and the province.

Squadron 137 was established on June 6, 2005, stationed in Phuc Tho commune (Nghi Loc), is a unit under Naval Region 1, with the tasks of combat readiness, combat training, patrolling, managing, protecting sea and island sovereignty; participating in storm and flood prevention, search and rescue; coordinating with relevant forces to organize propaganda, dissemination, and legal education for fishermen in assigned sea areas.

Every year, officers and soldiers of Squadron 137 have supported hundreds of fishing boats with activities such as providing fresh water, vegetables, first aid for injuries, anchoring to avoid storms, search and rescue, etc.

In addition to the task of maintaining the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, the officers and soldiers of the 137th Navy have become a support for fishermen in the Central region to confidently stick to the sea on traditional fishing grounds.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 137, Major Le Anh Tuan - Political Commissar of the Squadron thanked the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department for their attention, giving the unit more strength in training the good qualities and traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers.
