Head of the Central Propaganda Department: If violations of the law are not strictly punished, it is difficult to have social ethics.
Comrade Vo Van Thuong - Head of the Central Propaganda Department said that without strictly handling violations of the law and Party discipline, it will be difficult to have social ethics.
On April 20, a delegation of the Central Propaganda Department led by Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, worked with the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the implementation of Resolution 33 - NQTW (term XI) on "building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development" in Ho Chi Minh City.

Comrade Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the results of Ho Chi Minh City's implementation of Resolution 33 when it was active and proactive in directing and leading, especially paying attention to the issue of building and developing human culture. However, Comrade Vo Van Thuong pointed out the fact that although Ho Chi Minh City has made great efforts in investing in culture, the investment is still not commensurate with the requirements, position, potential and current conditions of the city.
Since liberation, Ho Chi Minh City has built Hoa Binh Theater and Ben Thanh Theater, but many theaters have been turned into shopping centers, restaurants, coffee shops... Newly built cultural works are still less than those lost, the museum and library system is not equivalent to the region...
According to comrade Vo Van Thuong, building culture and developing people requires both building and fighting, but building is fundamental, fighting must be resolute, in which the law is the "midwife" for morality. Without strictly handling violations of the law, violations of Party discipline and order, it will be difficult to have social morality.
Head of Central Propaganda Department affirmedHCMCalways the focus of attention of the whole country in implementing Resolution 33 in particular and the Party's guidelines and policies in general. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City continues to promote itself as a place to verify practical contributions to the formation and completion of the Party's guidelines, good models and practices to replicate throughout the country.
