In the 2017 national high school exam, Ho Thi Yen from Quy Hop district (Nghe An) scored 3 subjects plus a priority score of 25 points for block A. Although with the score she achieved, she would have been admitted to a number of other universities, she chose Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce. Yen shared: I see more and more university graduates without jobs after graduation. So I chose to study a vocational course instead of university and chose the Culinary Arts major at Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce. Because the vocational course is short, the cost is low, the graduates have skills and especially the school signed a commitment to arrange a job for me after graduation.
Similarly, Ngo Dinh Nhat, a native of Nam Dan district, also had a national high school exam score of 23 points in block A. Nhat once dreamed of becoming an army officer. But when the results came out, he did not have enough points for his preferred major at the Military Technical Academy. With this score, Nhat could have applied for other majors at many universities. However, this candidate applied to study Culinary Arts at Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce.

The cost of studying at university for about 4 - 5 years is about 150 - 200 million VND.
In addition, after the second year of studying at Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce, students can do an internship at a business for 4 months, with a salary of about 16 - 20 million VND. Third year students can do an internship at a business, with a salary of 20 - 25 million VND.
For students with good academic results and training who are allowed to do internships in Japan, Korea or Singapore, the salary is 3-4 times higher. For students with good academic results, they will receive scholarships (equivalent to the tuition fee for each semester).

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Vice Principal of Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce said: "In the past three years, the school has welcomed many students who dropped out of university or completed their university program to come back to apply for vocational training to easily find a job. In fact, the demand for tourism human resources in Nghe An in particular and the whole country in general is currently very large.
In the coming years, the school will continue to focus on improving the quality of training associated with practice; so that when students graduate, they can immediately meet the requirements of businesses, without having to retrain. Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce is currently among 40 high-quality schools and is one of 25 schools selected to train the International program (Restaurant Management and Tour Guide) transferred from Australia. This is a great opportunity for students to study at the school but still receive a degree from Chisholm Institute of Australia (1 degree from Vietnam and 1 degree from Australia).
