Vocational College No. 4 - Ministry of National Defence: Opening Ceremony for the New Academic Year

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 3rd, the No. 4 Vocational College of the Ministry of National Defense held its opening ceremony for the 2014-2015 academic year. Attending the ceremony was Major General Dang Trong Quan, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, Vocational College No. 4 - Ministry of National Defense had approximately 11,000 students enrolled in college, intermediate, and basic vocational training programs, as well as training tailored to needs, with over 50% being demobilized soldiers. To further improve the quality of teaching and learning in the new academic year, the school received and transferred technology and equipment from the ODA7 project of the Republic of Austria, worth over 80 billion VND. Simultaneously, it utilized various funding sources to invest over 50 billion VND in infrastructure, teaching equipment, lecture halls, and workshops to ensure that the teaching and learning needs of teachers, students, and pupils are met.

To continue developing the school into a high-quality vocational school as decided by the Prime Minister, the main task this academic year is to stabilize and expand its scale, creating a profound transformation in management capacity and training quality. This includes establishing departments and vocational programs, and training students to meet international and ASEAN regional standards. Vocational training will be linked to job placement for demobilized soldiers and graduates of the school's vocational programs.

Awards and certificates of merit were presented to groups and individuals.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 13 collectives and individuals in the school for their outstanding achievements in training and teaching.
