Nghe An Vietnamese-German College celebrates 50th anniversary

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 18, Nghe An Vietnam - Germany Vocational College held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school's founding and received the Government's Emulation Flag. With a tradition of 50 years of construction and development, the school has been awarded the Third Class Labor Medal (1987), Second Class (1993) and First Class (2006) by the State.

Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. Also attending were comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council; Representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Building Committee, representatives of the City Party Committee's leaders, departments, branches, universities and colleges inside and outside the province...

The Vietnam - Germany College was formerly Nghe An Architecture School. Established in 1972, the Vietnam - Germany Nghe An College has developed from a technical workers' school to a multi-disciplinary, multi-level college with diverse training programs, focusing on practice and high quality to adapt to the integration process of Vietnam into the world economy, aiming to become a national standard school in the near future.

Currently, the school is training in 03 levels of professions. In which: College level trains 06 professions: Automotive technology, Welding, Construction engineering, Industrial electricity, Industrial electronics, Refrigeration and air conditioning engineering. Intermediate level, in addition to the 06 professions above, also has 06 other professions: Electricity - Water, Water supply and drainage, Operating construction machines, Office informatics, Computer repair and assembly techniques, Fashion sewing. Elementary level trains all the above professions and car driving professions of classes B1, B2, C; Training captains up to class 3.

In addition, the school also provides regular training services, technology updates for workers in need; training for A1 class motorbike drivers, controlling inland waterway vehicles. Cooperating with Hanoi Open University, Vinh University, Hue University to provide joint training, distance learning, online training at university level in the fields of: Business Accounting, Economic Law, Telecommunications, Journalism... creating favorable conditions, meeting the learning needs of the people. The school has contributed to training more than 10 thousand students with bachelor's degrees for the province and neighboring provinces.

At provincial self-made vocational training equipment competitions, 05 devices won first prizes, 06 devices won second prizes; 15 devices won third prizes and many consolation prizes. At national self-made vocational training equipment competitions, there were 01 first prize, 01 second prize, 03 third prizes and many consolation prizes.

At the vocational skills competitions for students, the Nghe An Province Young Workers Competition had 10 students winning First Prize; at the national level, 01 student won Third Prize, 08 students won Encouragement Prize. There were 02 students honored as excellent students, representing the whole country in the vocational education system.

When the creative startup movement among students was launched and the first provincial and national competitions were held (the first time in 2021), the school's students were leading the country in creative startup ideas (first prize nationwide). In 2022, the school's lecturers and students continued to achieve many outstanding achievements. In particular, participating in the provincial self-made training equipment competition, there was 01 first prize, 02 third prizes and 02 consolation prizes.

At the national DIY training equipment competition, the school won 1 First Prize, 1 Third Prize and 1 Encouragement Prize; 1 student was honored as an excellent student, a national representative in the vocational education system... In addition, in other competitions and competitions, the school always achieved high results and ranked at the top of vocational schools nationwide.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the great contribution of the Vietnam - Germany College - one of the first schools in the country in the vocational training sector to be upgraded to a college. Over the past 50 years, the school has affirmed its quality and vocational training brand and provided the domestic and foreign labor market with more than 45,000 skilled workers at level 3/7; more than 7.5 thousand intermediate technicians; over 5,000 college-level practical engineers; Cooperating with universities to train more than 15,000 engineers and bachelors; over 85% of the school's graduates find jobs in their training fields, and are highly appreciated by recruiting businesses. On this occasion, the school was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Government, many collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee./.
