Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted: 2 students participate in the Asian Physics Olympiad.
(Baonghean.vn) -According to official information from the Department of Examination and Quality Assurance - Ministry of Education and Training on the afternoon of April 7th, the results of the selection process for the Vietnamese team to participate in the 2014 Asian Physics Olympiad show that 8 students were rigorously and strictly selected over 3 days of testing in Hanoi to join the Vietnamese team participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad held in Singapore on May 15th, 2014.
The members of the Vietnamese team come from the Natural Sciences specialized program of Hanoi National University, the Natural Sciences specialized program of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi-Amstecdam High School for the Gifted, Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted - Ninh Binh, and Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted - Nghe An.
Notably, among the 8 students, 2 are from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School: Cao Ngoc Thai (12th grade, Physics major) ranked 2nd out of 8 in the team and was selected for the International Olympiad; and Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (11th grade, Physics major, Class 11A3) ranked 7th out of 8.
Once again, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted is the provincial-level specialized high school with the most students nationwide. It is also the specialized school that has consistently had the most students participating in and winning the most medals (gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mentions) in the Asian and International Physics Olympiads for over 10 years.
