Vinh University promotes cooperation with Japan

Participating from Japan were Associate Professor Dr. Sato Shushi of Kochi University; Mr. Innoue Takashi - CEO of Inoue Calcium Company. From Vinh University, there were staff and students from the faculties of Biology, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Geography and Water Resources. The program also had representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An. |
At the workshop, staff and students of Vinh University listened to representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An introduce the picture of Nghe An agriculture and the comprehensive development orientation towards modernity, sustainability and safety; listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Sato Shushi - Kochi University present on the development orientation of rural areas and Water Resources Management.
On this occasion, Mr. Innoue Takashi - CEO of Inoue Calcium Company (Japan) discussed further with staff and students of Vinh University about the future of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in general between Inoue Calcium Company and Nghe An province and Vinh University in the field of agriculture.

Mr. Innoue Takashi - Director of Inoue Calcium Company said: The company is particularly interested in training programs and research directions related to the fields of chemistry, biology and agriculture - forestry - fisheries of Vinh University. Inoue Calcium Company and Vinh University hope that through the scientific conference, it will promote cooperation in the fields of agriculture and environment. At the same time, it will be a bridge connecting a number of cooperation programs between Vinh University and Kochi University (Japan) in particular, between Nghe An province and Kochi province in general in the field of agricultural development associated with environmental protection.
Inoue Calcium Company has researched, produced and launched many safe biological products to treat diseases of different plants. Within the framework of the project “Safe farming system in Vietnam” funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), since February 2017, experts of the CompanyInoue Calcium cooperated with scientists from the Central Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute and lecturers from the Faculty of Biology (Vinh University) to test safe biological products of Inoue Company to prevent and treat some diseases on orange trees in Nghi Loc, Quy Hop and Nghia Dan. The biological products tested are organic drugs and some mineral-based, non-toxic products that have been widely used on citrus trees in Japan and some other countries such as Thailand, Philippines... for many years. The test aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the product on Vinh orange varieties in local climate conditions and submit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for licensing to soon put the product into use in Vietnam. |
