(Baonghean.vn) - In the 2015 - 2020 term, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the direction of the Board of Directors, and the solidarity and efforts of the staff, party members, students, the Party Committee of Vinh Medical University has achieved many outstanding results in various fields, improving the quality of implementing political tasks.

Expand and improve training quality

During the term, the Party Committee of Vinh Medical University continued to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on "Fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the conditions of a socialist-oriented market economy".

The Party Committee has directed the department to open 4 undergraduate training majors and 1 postgraduate major; fully meeting the curriculum and documents serving the teaching, learning and scientific research of lecturers and students.

In the past 5 years, the school has accepted and put into use 28 textbooks and 12 reference documents. Enhance the effectiveness of applying information technology and communication in teaching, scientific research, management and social services; Build and apply software in training according to the credit system; ensure that subjects have enough textbooks, detailed outlines, lesson plans and electronic lectures. Therefore, in the 2015 - 2020 term, the school's training scale is increasingly expanded and the quality is increasingly higher.

Annual enrollment meets the assigned target. Graduates have sufficient capacity, professional skills, and good moral qualities to complete their tasks. The employment rate after 1 year of graduation is over 80%, especially in the medical field (General Practitioner), this rate is approximately 100%....

In scientific research and international cooperation, the school has implemented many solutions to strengthen scientific and technological potential, including human resources and facilities; innovate and improve the effectiveness of basic scientific research towards the goal of improving the training quality and service efficiency of the school, encourage the school's teaching staff to participate in projects, joint training programs and external scientific research.

In the past 5 years, the school has accepted 115 topics and is implementing 19 basic-level topics; implementing 5 provincial-level topics. There are 6 topics awarded at the Youth Science and Technology Conference of Vietnam Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities; 3 topics won First, Second, Third prizes, Nghe An Science and Technology Innovation Award; there are 240 articles published in specialized journals, 24 international articles, 208 domestic articles. The school maintains quarterly internal publication, organizes 21 scientific conferences and seminars.

In addition, the cooperation between schools and institutes in teaching and scientific research has been promoted and put into practice. The school has signed agreements with 12 provincial hospitals, 26 district hospitals and equivalent, and 1 central hospital as the school's practice facility for teaching clinical practice and scientific research.

International cooperation is a focus of the Party Committee, a breakthrough in improving the professional skills of lecturers and students of the school. During the term, many exchange activities, learning and experience exchange between lecturers and students of the school with 3 schools in the region and the world, and lecturer and student exchange programs with a number of countries: Finland, Japan, Thailand...

During the term, the Party Committee has promoted leadership in innovating testing and assessment methods and ensuring the quality of education in the direction of improving students' ability to work in groups, work independently, and presentation skills; Recognizing graduates based on ensuring all criteria such as: professional knowledge, practical ability, foreign language and IT proficiency; sense of discipline and professional ethics...

Over the past 5 years, 70 sets of multiple-choice test questions have been developed and put into use. The organization of exams and tests has been carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring objectivity and fairness. The school's Party Committee has issued a specialized resolution on ensuring educational quality, focusing on directing the development and implementation of a plan to self-assess educational quality according to the new set of criteria (stipulated in Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGDDT). Up to now, the list of evidence has been established and coded, the groups' standard reports have been organized, and the Quality Handbook has been issued...

In 2018, Vinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital was established on the basis of upgrading the school's General Clinic with an initial scale of 50 beds to better meet the needs of care, protection and improvement of people's health.

Not only that, the Hospital is also a place to better serve the teaching, learning, and communication skills training for staff, lecturers, and students; at the same time, it is a facility to serve the tasks of training and scientific research, application and deployment of new medical techniques...

Political education, ethics, lifestyle and implementation of policies and regimes for students are important contents in the school's training program and objectives. The school's Party Committee has directed the development and promulgation of the Code of Conduct for students; innovated the work of homeroom teachers and organized well the Citizenship Week so that students can clearly understand the rules and regulations of study and understand the rights and obligations of students.

Organize and implement well the management and education work, create a healthy learning and living routine for students; Manage well the work of boarding students, maintain the system of on-site management of students in dormitories; Send staff to regularly inspect and monitor the situation of students, and closely coordinate with the police and local authorities in managing and educating non-boarding students.

The work of evaluating and classifying students is carried out seriously and objectively. The Party Committee has directed the effective implementation of activities to orient, advise, support and introduce jobs for students during their studies and after graduation.

The Party Committee has paid special attention to the implementation of administrative reform, creating positive changes in all aspects. The school has built and effectively applied university management software in parallel with teacher information portal software in school activities, helping to process and exchange information, work is resolved quickly; manage and store paper documents conveniently, limit the number of printed documents, exchange between departments, both demonstrating professionalism in work and saving job positions. In particular, the school has issued regulations on monthly assessment and classification of cadres and civil servants associated with emulation work. Thanks to that, the sense of discipline and efficiency in the work of cadres and civil servants has been improved.

The Party Committee focuses on Party building work in all three aspects: politics, ideology and organization. The school Party Committee comprehensively leads the work of cadres, from planning, recruitment, training, appointment, job assignment, management and evaluation of cadres.

During the term, the Party Committee of the school issued a specialized resolution on personnel work to build a team of managers and lecturers with sufficient political qualities, ethics, professional capacity, degrees and certificates to meet the requirements of building and developing the school in the new period.

The above results are an important premise and driving force for the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of the school continues to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee, promote the strength of the great solidarity bloc of the whole school; build a staff team with sufficient quantity, ensuring quality, and synchronous structure; Determined to build Vinh Medical University to develop rapidly and sustainably, become a center for training high-quality medical human resources, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo to make Nghe An become the center of the North Central region in the fields of education and health.
