On the evening of January 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, the 21st Mai Vang Awards ceremony honored 10 artists, two works and programs from audience votes.

The Quang comedian happily shared: "This is the first Mai Vang award, and also the biggest award in my life up to this point. I was expelled from school and failed the exam, so I am very happy to receive this award. Thank you to those who have supported me over the years, some are still alive, some have passed away. I also thank my fans, those who are not related to me but love me unconditionally."

He also received the Favorite Stage Actress trophy on behalf of Le Khanh for her role as Hong in Need Someone to Love because she was absent. He humorously said: "I swear that no matter how many sleeping pills I take, I would never dream of this scene. I am a guy from the countryside who doesn't know when to live or when to die. Today I have the opportunity to stand here, next to Uncle Sau Bao Quoc (the award presenter). This year I have also fulfilled my dream of having my own live show, now I can die." Previously, comedian Hoai Linh was honored by the organizers as the artist who received the Mai Vang award the most times. In the 20th Mai Vang award season, held in 2015, Hoai Linh received Mai Vang 10 times in the category "Most Favorite Comedian".

Truong Ngoc Anh linked arms with director Cuong Ngo to present the awards for Most Favorite Male and Female Movie and Television Actress to Binh Minh and Nha Phuong. Standing next to the beauty, Binh Minh teased: "Truong Giang should have received this award to stand next to Nha Phuong, and I received the award for Comedy Actor. Well, it's a bit awkward." For two consecutive years, Tran Thanh won the Favorite MC award for his role as host of the show "Dancing with the Stars". The organizing committee awarded trophies to representatives of three voting categories that were announced earlier. Actress Hong Anh, representing the crew of the play Half a Life of Powder, received the award for Favorite Stage Play. Viet Max received the award for Favorite Movie - TV Series with Love. Thank God, You're Here was voted Favorite TV Show.

The Mai Vang Awards ceremony lasted nearly two hours with performances and the award presentation. Miss International 2015 3rd runner-up Thuy Van and Binh Minh hosted the program. The award presentation by guests did not create an exciting atmosphere for the ceremony.
