The comedian from Quang Nam happily shared: "This is the first Mai Vang award, and also the biggest award in my life up to this point. I was expelled from school and failed the exam, so I am very happy to receive this award. Thank you to those who have supported me over the years, some are still alive, some have passed away. I also thank my fans, those who are not related to me but love me unconditionally."

He also received the Favorite Stage Actress trophy for Le Khanh for her role as Hong in Need Someone to Love because she was absent. He humorously said: "I swear that no matter how many sleeping pills I take, I would never dream of this scene. I am a guy from the countryside who doesn't know when to live or when to die. Today I have the opportunity to stand here, next to Uncle Sau Bao Quoc (the award presenter). This year I have also fulfilled my dream of having my own live show, now I can die." Previously, comedian Hoai Linh was honored by the organizers as the artist who received the Mai Vang award the most times. In the 20th Mai Vang award season, held in 2015, Hoai Linh received Mai Vang 10 times in the category of "Most Favorite Comedian".

Truong Ngoc Anh linked arms with director Cuong Ngo to present the awards for Most Favorite Male and Female Actor in Film and Television to Binh Minh and Nha Phuong. Standing next to the beauty, Binh Minh teased: "Truong Giang should have received this award to stand next to Nha Phuong, and I received the comedy award. Well, it's a bit awkward." Binh Minh hinted at the close relationship between Truong Giang and Nha Phuong, even though the two have never admitted to being in love.

For two consecutive years, Tran Thanh won the Favorite MC award for his role as host of the show "The Challenge of the Dance". On stage to receive the award, Tran Thanh confided that there were rumors that he "looked down" on his senior Duc Hai in a TV show. "Many people think that if I'm successful, I don't care about anyone, I don't respect my seniors. But I think everyone can have their own opinions, so I boldly say those things. In the music category, Noo Phuoc Thinh and Dong Nhi won the Male and Female Pop Singer categories. They also received this award last year. Hoai Lam won the Folk Singer award with the song Sa mua giong. The Traditional Revolutionary Singer award went to Meritorious Artist Thanh Thuy with the song Co gai vot thorn.

The organizers awarded trophies to representatives of the three voting categories that were announced earlier. Actress Hong Anh, representing the crew of the play Half a Life of Fragrance, received the award for Favorite Stage Play. Viet Max received the award for Favorite Movie - Television Series with Love. Thank God, You're Here was voted Favorite TV Show.
