Producer and actress Truong Ngoc Anh has just accepted an invitation to Taipei (Taiwan) to be a judge at the 58th Asia-Pacific Film Festival, taking place from August 30 to September 2, 2018.

It is known that the Organizing Committee of the “Asia-Pacific Film Festival” highly appreciates Truong Ngoc Anh’s experience and reputation after many years of working in the field of acting and film production in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. At the same time, Truong Ngoc Anh’s boldness in cooperating with film producers from Hollywood as well as countries with developed cinema helps the Organizing Committee believe that she has a correct perception and assessment of the international film market and will work with the jury of the “Asia-Pacific Film Festival” to search for and honor worthy works and individuals.

Honored to be a "judge" at a prestigious film festival, Truong Ngoc Anh said: "I am very happy to be a judge this year. It can be said that this year, there are quite a few films from China, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines... with new and diverse styles of expression. We have started watching and judging films through the festival's own online portal and have had quite frank discussions about the nominations. Vietnam sent 5 films and there were also bright spots that were noticed by the judges."

It is known that the film “Island of the Immigrants” by director Hong Anh has also received several important nominations at this year’s Film Festival. Director Hong Anh and actress Ngoc Thanh Tam will also participate in this year’s Film Festival.

According to the schedule, on August 29, Truong Ngoc Anh will fly to Taiwan to join the jury and the Organizing Committee in judging the awards and participating in sideline activities of the “Asia-Pacific Film Festival”. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on the evening of September 1 and will be a gathering of filmmakers, actors and media from countries in the region./.

The Asia-Pacific Film Festival was established in 1954 by the Board of Directors of the Federation of Motion Picture Producers of Asia-Pacific. It has been considered a prominent film event for many decades.
