Phoenix High School Summer Experience in Singapore

(Baonghean.vn) - 17 students of Phuong Hoang High School for the Gifted recently attended the summer camp “Asian Youth Leadership Conference 2017” in Singapore. With a variety of formats, the summer camp was an exciting and meaningful experience for each student.

The group of students participating in the summer experience in Singapore consisted of 17 students, including 10 boys and 7 girls.

The Asian Youth Leadership Conference is an annual conference certified and supported by the Singapore government for students in the Asian region to exchange, connect, discuss and improve their knowledge and leadership skills.

The conference delegation met with Singaporean leaders and businessmen.

This year's program has nearly 500 students from 9 Asian countries, aged 11 to 18. The students participating in the program are divided into groups to participate in activities such as exchanges and extracurricular activities with students from other countries to improve their skills; attend seminars and listen to experts and businessmen discuss about careers in society and career orientation as well as planning and implementing plans; Participate in some activities that challenge themselves and team coordination such as rope swinging, boat racing, etc.; In particular, the groups will develop and present ideas on topics given by the Organizing Committee.

With the theme of this year's conference being "I'm Powered", 17 students from Phoenix High School were divided into 4 groups to develop ideas, content and present in 3 minutes on the topics: "Economic recession", "Refugees", "Indigenous people" and "Weapons of mass destruction".

Groups of students confidently presented their topics at the workshop in English.

Students of Phuong Hoang High School for the Gifted have won many medals when participating in seminars.

The students confidently presented in English and answered many difficult questions from the judges. As a result, 1 group won a Gold medal, 1 group won a Silver medal and 2 groups won Bronze medals.

This is an encouraging achievement, demonstrating the students' efforts, confidence and bravery because most of the students from the countries participating in this conference are between 15 and 18 years old.

A week of summer camp in Singapore was a great opportunity for Phoenix students to express themselves and learn about leadership skills; learn how to lead and influence their own lives; improve their English proficiency; and practice life skills.and study; broaden your horizons to the world; visit the beautiful island nation of Singapore and experience a rewarding and exciting summer after a year of study.

Summer experiences to exchange with foreign students are one of the experiences that will be maintained by Phuong Hoang High Quality High School in the following school years./.
