Head of BIDV Bank's Phu Yen branch arrested.
On the afternoon of August 10th, the investigative police agency of Phu Yen province arrested and searched the residence of Nguyen Thi Le Dong at house number 125 Le Loi Street, Ward 3, Tuy Hoa City (Phu Yen).

Nguyen Thi Le Dong (38 years old, from Hoa Thinh commune, Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen province) is the Head of the Treasury Management and Services Department of BIDV Phu Yen branch.
Subsequently, the police continued their search of Dong's workplace at the Vietnam Investment and Development Commercial Bank (BIDV) Phu Yen branch, located at 287 Nguyen Hue Street, Tuy Hoa City.
Nguyen Thi Le Dong has been charged with embezzlement under Article 278 of the Penal Code. The Phu Yen Provincial Police Investigation Agency has detained Dong for four months to conduct further investigation. While serving as Head of the Treasury Management and Services Department at BIDV's Phu Yen branch, Ms. Dong allegedly abused her position and authority to embezzle 6.7 billion VND from the bank branch.
