North-South train captain found violating alcohol concentration
Police determined that the SE3 train captain violated alcohol concentration when there were nearly two hours left before the North-South train departed.
On the night of April 25, a working group of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, controlled and handled violations of alcohol concentration for railway staff, train conductors... at a number of stations before the train ran and after dinner.
From 7:00 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., the working group inspected 9 cases at Hanoi station and discovered the captain of the SE3 North-South train walking on the platform to prepare to board the train with an alcohol concentration of 0.206 mg/liter of breath. According to a traffic police officer, when the captain was discovered violating the law, there were still nearly 2 hours before the train departed for Ho Chi Minh City.

Colonel Do Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Traffic Police Department, said that the working group has drawn up a record, issued a decision to impose a fine and requested the train captain not to re-offend.
According to the leader of the Traffic Police Department, from now until the end of the year, the unit will regularly handle violations at stations and wharves, before trains depart, and will gradually make this work a daily routine to prevent alcohol violations that affect traffic safety.
According to Article 59 of Decree 46, the train captain was fined VND750,000 for violating alcohol concentration or using stimulants prohibited by law.
