In recent times, there have been a number of mass poisoning cases in various localities that have resulted in hospitalizations due to students eating parasol trees. Parasol trees are highly toxic and, if eaten, can lead to poisoning, threatening health and life. In addition, parasol trees are very brittle and break easily, posing a danger to students.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Tu - Vice Principal of Que Phong High School shared: "It's a pity to cut the trees down, but we have to accept it, because if we don't cut them down, it will be very dangerous to the lives and health of the students..."
Previously, on April 20, at Nghi Hoa Primary School, Cua Lo town, 54 students were poisoned and had to be taken to the emergency room after eating parasol fruit. Not stopping there, on the evening of April 21, at Quy Chau Ethnic Boarding School - Secondary School, Quy Chau district, 37 students in grades 6 and 7 were also taken to the emergency room, the cause was due to eating parasol fruit./.
