Besides military and police academies, the Foreign Trade University currently ranks at the top among universities requiring high application scores.

Foreign Trade University: Above the minimum score of 5 points

This year, the Foreign Trade University has set the minimum application score for its majors at 20 points. In addition, candidates must have an average academic score of 6.5 or higher for each of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and a conduct rating of "good" or higher for each of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.

The school will check the academic transcripts when students enroll; if a student does not meet the requirements, they will be removed from the list of admitted students.

In cases where multiple candidates achieve the same admission score, exceeding the department's quota, the university will use a supplementary admission criterion, prioritizing candidates based on their Mathematics exam scores, to determine the list of admitted students.

The minimum admission scores for each specific major are as follows:

National Economics University: Accepting applications from candidates with 17 points or higher.

The National Economics University announced that it will only accept applications with scores 2 points higher than the minimum quality assurance threshold for university entrance.

Specifically, the admission requirements of this school for applicants are as follows: Applicants must have graduated from high school or equivalent by the time of application; and be in good health to study.

Candidates participating in the 2015 National High School Graduation Examination at examination centers organized by universities/colleges, whose total score in 3 subjects belonging to one of the registered admission combinations, including priority points based on region and category, is at least 2 points higher than the minimum quality assurance threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Training, and who do not have any subject in the admission combination with a score of 1 point or less…

This school also has additional criteria in case multiple candidates have the same total score.

University of Electrical Engineering: 16 points is the minimum score to apply.

The University of Electrical Engineering has allocated 1,900 university-level and 850 college-level places for admission based on national high school graduation exam results.

This school announced that it will only accept applications from candidates who have achieved a score in the national high school graduation exam organized by the university, and for undergraduate programs, the score must be at least 1 point higher than the minimum entrance quality assurance threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

For college-level programs, admission is based on the minimum quality standards for college-level programs set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition, this year, the University of Electrical Engineering is allocating 100 places for undergraduate programs and 50 places for college-level programs, with admissions based simultaneously on high school 12th-grade academic results and national high school graduation exam results.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine: 17 is the minimum score.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has set the minimum admission score for all undergraduate programs at least 2 points above the "threshold score".

Specifically, the following fields require 17 points: Public Health, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, and Ophthalmic Refraction;

For the two majors, General Medicine and Dentistry, candidates must achieve 21 points to be eligible to apply.

The school stated that in the event of a tie in scores, they will use the following secondary criteria: the score in the foreign language subject of the national high school graduation exam, and the average score over the three years of high school.

University of Commerce: Applicants must have at least 2 points to be eligible to submit their applications.

During the first round of applications, the University of Commerce also required candidates to have a national high school graduation exam score of 17 points or higher (including priority points) from the exam cluster hosted by the university, and no subject in the admission test combination had a score of 1 point or less.

The university selects candidates based on scores from highest to lowest until the quota is filled. In cases where, at a certain admission score level, the number of admitted candidates exceeds the quota, the university will use supplementary criteria based on exam results, from highest to lowest, until the quota is filled, as follows:

Sub-criterion 1: For the English Language major, the main subject score is English; for the Business French major, the French subject score is used; for all other majors, the Mathematics subject score is used.

After applying supplementary criterion 1, if the number of admitted candidates is still more than 5% higher than the quota, the School will apply supplementary criterion 2.

Specifically, for the English Language major, candidates with high scores in Mathematics will be considered; for majors using the A00 combination (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), the secondary criterion is the score in Physics.

The major will be considered based on the A01 combination (Mathematics, Physics, English) or the D01 combination (Mathematics, English, Literature), with the English score as a secondary criterion.

The major is considered based on the D03 subject combination (Mathematics, French, Literature), with supplementary criteria and the score in Mathematics.
