Manhunt for suspect who stabbed friend to death, took him to hospital and then fled
After stabbing his friend in front of his house, Nguyen Trac Nghiem took his friend to the emergency room. Upon hearing that his friend had died, Nghiem quickly took a taxi and fled.
Late on July 5, speaking with reporters, a leader of the People's Committee of Huu Van commune (Chuong My district, Hanoi) said: "To ensure the investigation, the authorities are urgently searching for Nguyen Trac Nghiem -suspectstabbed to death Mr. D.TK (born 1993)".
"The police have identified the suspect's hiding place. The suspect is in a state of panic," the leader of the People's Committee of Huu Van commune added.
According to the leader of the People's Committee of Huu Van commune, suspect Nguyen Trac Nghiem was persuaded to surrender to the police on the morning of July 6.
The victim and the perpetrator were locals and close friends. D.TK (born in 1993) owed Nguyen Trac Nghiem 2 million VND. Nghiem called to collect the debt but his friend did not answer.
Feeling angry, Nguyen Trac Nghiem brought a knife to find his friend. When they met at the gate, the suspect stabbed the victim on the spot. After committing the crime, the perpetrator took the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment.
However, when he learned that his friend had died, the suspect hired a taxi to Van Phu area, Ha Dong district (Hanoi) and fled.
