Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Telecom, stated that with favorable weather conditions, the AAG submarine fiber optic cable was successfully spliced and tested at 11:00 AM today. Following the announcement of stable cable operation, routing began. By approximately 1:00 PM on July 27th, power measurement was completed, and by 1:30 PM, the AAG cable had been laid in the sea. Internet service providers operating on the AAG cable will begin routing traffic gradually into their systems.
"Starting tonight, July 27, 2014, all international internet traffic on the AAG cable will return to normal. There will no longer be slow internet access when using international services such as web browsing and email in Vietnam," Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed.
Thus, the repair of the AAG international undersea fiber optic cable break has been completed 3 days earlier than the deadline set by the operator of the AAG (Asia America Gate Way) international undersea fiber optic cable line a few days ago, which was July 30, 2014.
Internet users in Vietnam will be able to start a new work week on a more positive note as internet access is now smooth and uninterrupted, thanks to the restoration of 100% international internet traffic via the AAG undersea fiber optic cable.
