Specially wanted a suspect in the case of 'Terrorism against the people's government' in Dak Lak
The subject Y Huăl Êban was prosecuted by the Security Investigation Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police, on the charge of "Terrorism against the people's government" under Article 113 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Information from the Investigation Security Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit has just issued a special wanted decision for a suspect in the case of "Terrorism against the people's government".
Specifically, the especially wanted suspect is Y Huăl Êban (born in 1970, residing in Map village, Ea Pok town, Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak). Previously, on July 3, the above subject was prosecuted by the Investigation Security Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police for the crime of "Terrorism against the people's government" under Article 113 of the 2015 Penal Code. According to the wanted decision, any person has the right to arrest and immediately take the wanted person to the nearest police agency, Procuracy or People's Committee. After arresting or receiving the wanted subject, it is necessary to immediately notify the Investigation Security Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police. Regarding the incident, in the early morning of June 11, a group of people attacked the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes (including the working area of the commune police) in Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, killing 9 people and injuring 2 others.
On June 23, 2023, the Investigation Security Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police issued decisions to prosecute and detain 75 defendants for the crime of "Terrorism against the people's government"; prosecuted 7 defendants for the crime of "Failure to report a crime" (Article 390, Penal Code 2015); one defendant for the crime of "Concealing a crime" (Article 389, Penal Code 2015); one defendant for the crime of "Organizing, brokering for others to illegally exit, enter or stay in Vietnam" (Article 348, Penal Code 2015).
On June 28, the Investigation Security Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police continued to issue special wanted decisions for 5 related suspects.
The Ministry of Public Security assessed that this was a terrorist attack against the people's government with particularly serious consequences. The subjects' actions were barbaric and inhumane, demonstrating their determination to commit the crime to the end. The authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the case to strictly handle it in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law.
