(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 16, the Department of Transport held a ceremony to posthumously award Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to two transport officials who died while on duty during the recent storm No. 2.

At the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the relatives of two transport officials, Mr. Thai Huy Hao - Deputy Head of Technical Planning Department, Transport Economic Capital Management Board (under Nghe An Department of Transport) and Mr. Pham Van Chung - Deputy Director of Trung Tin Joint Stock Company who had an accident while performing the task of responding to and overcoming the landslide incident to ensure traffic during storm No. 2 in the mountainous area of western Nghe An on July 17, 2017.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shared the pain and great loss with the two families, and hoped that the two families would overcome the pain and take care of the children of the two adult officials.
