Searching for 2 young men suspected of throwing explosives into the ward police headquarters
Camera footage recorded at the time of the explosion showed two people on a motorbike throwing an object at the ward police station.
On June 21, Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang - Chief of Staff and spokesman of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the investigation agency had taken samples at the scene and was examining the explosive components at the police headquarters of Ward 12, Tan Binh District on the afternoon of June 20, injuring one person.
Previously reported, at around 2:10 pm on June 20, many residents living on Truong Chinh Street (Ward 12, Tan Binh District) were shocked when they heard two loud explosions.
When people ran to see, they saw a broken motorbike in front of the Ward 12 Police Station. Inside the police station, debris was scattered everywhere and furniture was damaged.

Before the explosion, the security camera system around the area recorded two young men with their faces covered, riding a motorbike and when passing by the Ward 12 Police Station, they threw an object at the motorbike parked there and then ran away.

Colonel Nguyen Sy Quang - Chief of Staff and spokesman of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the investigation agency has taken samples at the scene and is examining the explosives at the Ward 12 Police Headquarters. Currently, there are no results of the examination of the materials, so it is not possible to confirm what object or material caused the explosion.
