Singer Ho Ngoc Ha's driver prosecuted for fatal crash
Singer Ho Ngoc Ha's driver was prosecuted under Clause 3, Article 202 of the Penal Code with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
On September 10, it was reported that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy had just issued an indictment to prosecute Nguyen Duy Tan (26 years old, residing in Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of "Violating regulations on controlling road vehicles" under Clause 3, Article 202 of the Penal Code with the highest penalty of up to 15 years in prison.
According to the indictment, at about 7:15 p.m. on February 10, 2015, Nguyen Duy Tan drove a 4-seat Audi A8 on an internal road to the arrival terminal of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.

After stopping the car, Tan left the engine running but forgot to put the gear lever in stop position, parked, opened the car door, and got out to help his cousin, singer Ho Ngoc Ha, put her luggage in the car. At this time, because the car was still in driving mode, the car continued to roll and move forward.
Seeing this, Tan used his remaining right foot on the car to brake but mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal, causing the car to accelerate, rushing into the train station waiting hall and crashing into a series of taxis parked in front. After that, the car continued to rush to the left side, hitting 16 other people before stopping.
The accident killed Mr. Ngo Van Ngach (born in 1957, residing in Can Tho City) and injured 15 others, including 3 seriously injured with injuries of 19%, 69%, 76%. In addition, 2 cars and 2 billboards were severely damaged...
