US media reveals surprise prepared for Mr. Trump related to Ukraine
The US Congress, ahead of President Donald Trump's inauguration, is amending the law on support for Ukraine so that the new head of the White House cannot cancel it, the US publication The Hill reported.

“Pro-Ukraine lawmakers from both parties are working to pass key provisions related to U.S. support for Kiev into law in January, an effort to protect aid that is at risk under the Trump administration and full Republican control of Congress,” the publication said.
According to the publication, if the law is passed, Trump will have to continuously request military and economic assistance to Ukraine.
A House representative said some lawmakers are working to convert provisions of the bill into amendments to the National Defense Act.
The publication notes that there is currently no consensus among US lawmakers on how to present these amendments, while they have only three weeks left to work in December before Trump takes office as president.
