Communication and counseling on reproductive health/family planning in Thanh Chuong.

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 22, 2015, in accordance with the plan of the Steering Committee for Population and Family Planning of Nghe An province, the Nghe An Provincial Population and Family Planning Sub-Department organized a community communication and counseling program in Thanh Mai and Thanh Yen communes (Thanh Chuong district).

Overview of the training session

Thanh Chuong is the second unit in the province (after Hoang Mai town) to organize a community counseling and communication program in an area with a high birth rate. This is a meaningful activity with the full participation of leaders of departments and organizations at the commune and village levels, as well as women and men of reproductive age.

The program is organized in the form of thematic talks and direct consultations. In addition to providing basic knowledge about population, reproductive health care, and family planning, the program also aims to raise awareness and responsibility among participants to work together to address the challenges facing population, reproductive health care, and family planning in the area.

At the end of the program, over 90% of the participants were satisfied with the knowledge content and the issues discussed during the communication and consultation session; approximately 30% of the participants shared useful solutions and experiences.
