From January 1, 2018: Electronic invoices will be issued when purchasing gasoline and diesel fuel.
From January 1st, 2018, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) officially issued electronic invoices (e-invoices) to replace traditional paper invoices for customers purchasing petroleum products.
The issuance of electronic invoices will proceed cautiously in stages, with the Group's Parent Company and Ha Son Binh Petroleum Company being the first to implement it from January 1, 2018; B12 Petroleum Company and Southwest Petroleum Company will apply it from February 1, 2018, and it is expected that by April 1, 2018, Petrolimex will apply it to all remaining member petroleum companies throughout the system.

Petrolimex Deputy General Director Tran Ngoc Nam emphasized: “The issuance of electronic invoices is an inevitable trend, reducing the burden of administrative procedures, creating convenience for consumers, and reducing business costs. In addition, state management agencies will also find it easier to look up information for control purposes. This is a program that benefits consumers, the State, and businesses alike.”
Mr. Tran Ngoc Nam further stated that the issuance of electronic invoices helps to effectively utilize information technology systems in the production and business activities of enterprises, ensuring compliance with the trends of the 4.0 industrial revolution, contributing to cost reduction and transparency in the petroleum business.
