From January 1, 2018: Issue electronic invoices when purchasing gasoline
From January 1, 2018, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) officially issued electronic invoices (E-invoices) to replace the issuance of regular paper invoices for customers purchasing gasoline.
The issuance of electronic invoices will be carried out cautiously in stages, in which the Group's Parent Company and Ha Son Binh Petroleum Company will be the first to implement from January 1, 2018; B12 Petroleum Company and Southwest Petroleum Company will apply from February 1, 2018 and it is expected that by April 1, 2018, Petrolimex will apply to all remaining member petroleum companies in the entire system.

Petrolimex Deputy General Director Tran Ngoc Nam emphasized: “Issuing electronic invoices is an inevitable trend, reducing the burden of administrative procedures, creating convenience for consumers, and reducing business costs. In addition, State management agencies will also find it convenient to look up information for control. This is a program that brings benefits to consumers, the State and businesses.”
Mr. Tran Ngoc Nam added that the issuance of electronic invoices helps to effectively exploit the information technology system in the production and business activities of enterprises, ensuring compliance with the trend of the 4.0 industrial revolution, contributing to cost reduction and transparency in petroleum business activities.
