From October 1, gas prices continue to increase by 28,000 VND/cylinder
From October 1, the retail gas price to consumers increased by VND28,000/cylinder compared to the previous month, to VND349,000 - 357,000/cylinder. This is the third consecutive month that gas prices have increased with a total increase of VND71,000/cylinder.
Specifically, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Petro's retail gas price to consumers is 349,000 VND/12 kg cylinder, an increase of 28,000 VND/12 kg cylinder compared to the selling price in September.
In Hanoi, the price of Petrolimex and PetroVietnam gas to consumers also increased by 28,000 VND/cylinder to 356,000 VND/cylinder.

Other gas brands also simultaneously announced a price increase of 28,000 VND/cylinder to 345,000 - 357,000 VND/12 kg cylinder.
Thus, this is the third consecutive month that gas prices have increased with a total increase of 71,000 VND/cylinder. Compared to the price at the beginning of 2017, the current gas price is about 45,000 VND/12 kg cylinder higher.
The reason for the continuous sharp increase in gas prices, according to business units, is that the world gas price has been continuously rising sharply in recent months. Accordingly, the world gas price in October was announced at 577.5 USD/ton, an increase of 87.5 USD/ton compared to September.
Previously, the average world gas price in September 2017 reached 490 USD/ton, an increase of 50 USD/ton compared to August 2017.
