The program was jointly organized by the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) and the Korean Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2012).

The group consisted of 90 people, including 20 who traveled by bicycle (10 Vietnamese and 10 Koreans). Among these 20 people, 6 were victims of Agent Orange who cycled (3 Vietnamese and 3 Korean), with 5 of them cycling the entire journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, and 1 Vietnamese victim being replaced at different stages of the journey.

The "Vietnam-Korea Friendship Orange Agent Program" will depart on November 1st from Nha Rong Wharf (Ho Chi Minh City) and conclude in Hanoi on November 26th.

The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on November 26th at the Keangnam Building, Hanoi.

During the 26-day program, the delegation is expected to visit the Center for the Protection of Victims of Agent Orange and Disadvantaged Children in Da Nang City; perform surgery on children with cleft palates at Quang Nam General Hospital; visit the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh in Nam Dan, Nghe An; and organize many other activities…

Speaking at a press conference on the morning of October 25th in Hanoi, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), stated that the program aims to consolidate and strengthen the friendly relations between Vietnam and South Korea; to mobilize the people of both countries and international friends to continue supporting and assisting victims of Agent Orange; and to draw international attention to the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam and victims of chemical toxins worldwide.

MBC Group of South Korea plans to produce two documentaries about this meaningful "Vietnam-Korea Friendship Orange Campaign" to introduce to the public in Vietnam and South Korea.
