From August 1, gas price increased by 27,000 VND/12kg cylinder

Information from the Vietnam Gas Association shows that from August 1, the gas price of Saigon Petro Company Limited (Saigon Petro) increased by 27,000 VND/12kg cylinder.

Thus, the retail price to consumers is 305,000 VND/12kg gas cylinder. Gas companies Pacific Petro, Citi Petro, Elf gas... also increased 27,000 VND/12kg cylinder. The retail price to consumers does not exceed 313,000 VND/12kg cylinder.

The representative of the Vietnam Gas Association said that the increase in gas prices was due to the fact that the world gas price for delivery in August increased by 85 USD/ton compared to July (to 440 USD/ton), which led to an adjustment in domestic retail gas prices. Thus, this is the third time in 2017 that gas prices have increased sharply, with a total increase of 76,000 VND/12kg cylinder.
