From July 28, Nghe An allows educational institutions to resume operations.
(Baonghean.vn) - After more than two months of school closure due to the Covid-19 epidemic, from this week, Nghe An allows educational institutions to resume operations.
This is good news for schools and many parents of students and is being implemented in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic in the province being basically controlled. In Vinh city alone, there have been nearly 20 days without new cases in the community.
Based on the actual situation, the Department of Education and Training has just issued Document No. 1459/SGDĐT-VP dated July 26 allowing educational institutions to resume operations.
Accordingly, from July 28, 2021, the centersforeign language, information technology, life skills education (GDKNS) and extracurricular education (ED) units, study abroad consulting service businesses, and private educational institutions in the area are allowed to resume operations.

However, to ensure the safety of the facilities when they are allowed to resume operations, the Department of Education and Training requires the units to strictly implement many contents. In particular, it must have the agreement of parents in a completely voluntary spirit. The units must also organize a commitment signing with parents to strictly implement the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the criteria of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training on safe schools in preventing and fighting the epidemic.COVID-19, implement social distancing, not arranging more than 25 students (or children) / 01 class group.
In addition, it is necessary to closely coordinate with the health sector and local authorities to organize the spraying of disinfectants in the entire teaching and working areas; at the same time, disinfect 100% of classrooms, offices, teaching equipment and children's toys.
During the organization process, units need to regularly review and classify subjects who are in the period of applying home quarantine measures (cadres, teachers, and employees who have returned from epidemic areas or have close contact with people returning from epidemic areas). In particular, do not assign tasks to cadres, teachers, and workers in the above subjects.

On the parents' side, during the study process, parents and students must promptly and honestly declare the student's epidemiological contact history and health status (when there are unusual signs...).
Regarding the return to school, especially for preschool education, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: In the current context, ensuring safety must be the top priority. Therefore, for non-public preschool education facilities, the Department requires the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities and towns to direct the facilities to strictly implement the contents specified in the guidance documents of the Department of Education and Training, including the need to publicize the curriculum, study time and need to sign a commitment and take responsibility for the safety of children.
In addition, according to the management hierarchy and assigned functions and tasks, the Departments of Education and Training and relevant departments need to be responsible for inspecting, supervising and urging Foreign Language and Information Technology Centers, life skills education units and extracurricular education activities, and private educational institutions in the area to strictly implement the content, curriculum, and measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, and promptly handle any unusual situations that may arise.
