From poor boy to 'captain' of AIA Nghe An
(Baonghean) - From a boy with a poor childhood, Ha Van Phuc has grown up and become a successful businessman in the field of life insurance.
Accompany, share
Born into a poor family, with many consequences from participating in the war in Cambodia, Mr. Ha Van Phuc had to endure many headaches like hammers, long sleepless nights. But overcoming all, he never stopped working. He believes that working hard is more important than how much money we earn, helping many people to advance is more meaningful than just helping himself to advance. That is the reason he came to the life insurance profession, to AIA Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited, and is now the Director of AIA Nghe An General Agency Office.

With his passion for the profession he chose, Mr. Phuc saw the completeness of love and trust of the boys and girls in the AIA uniforms of his company, people with full enthusiasm at the time when he seemed helpless and wanted to give up when the office was newly established. People who have joined him on the challenging path to many rural areas, with difficult and arduous journeys.
Mr. Phuc believes that with integrity, lawfulness and kindness, nothing is impossible when we have a life filled with love from hardship and difficulty. He is still the "old" man, who started his career with diligence in each batch of cakes (Huong Phuc Cake Company) or toiled with stone dust (while working at Hoang Ha quarry) to now be a talented teacher in the Life Insurance industry that many people admire...
Loving and passionate about his job, Mr. Phuc is also a person who always knows how to inspire the next generation, and at the same time does not forget to do charity work to show gratitude to life. Because of his gratitude to life, his colleagues in the company and more importantly, the customers who have placed their trust in life insurance, he has been very generous in giving out many bonuses, recognizing everyone's achievements, helping everyone to have better and better income. At AIA Vietnam, we have witnessed the change and success of many young people, many of whom he has directly guided and managed. One of them is Bui Ngoc Hoang, currently the team leader of AIA Vietnam.
After nearly 2 years of hard work and being "inspired" by Mr. Phuc, Hoang not only succeeded in his career with an average income of more than 70 million VND/month, but also became a promising manager. Mr. Phuc shared: "Young people from the provinces often have difficulty finding jobs after graduating from university or have very low incomes. I want to guide them into a professional working environment, so that they can develop their skills, affirm their abilities and build their own careers. By doing so, I think I have done a good thing for my life."

Ha Van Phuc's childhood was associated with the fiercest years of the war against the US, he and his family always faced hunger and lack of clothing. Sympathizing with the same situation, he and his family understood and sympathized with poor children overcoming difficulties. Therefore, every year he generously spends billions of dong on charity activities, including the "Journey of Life" program to give bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties of AIA Vietnam, giving gifts to flooded areas in the province, and poor families who have no chance to rise up in life.
It is the sharing and companionship that he has devoted to the life insurance industry and life that has helped him build an exemplary family. His life partner - Ms. Huong is the one who has accompanied, shared and also the one who has helped him build the AIA Nghe An roof of solidarity with a professional working environment and imbued with deep humanity.
Never stop challenging yourself
From the initial helpers, the initial secretaries, the first agents and CQLs, the training specialists, ADMs, up to now, the AIA Nghe An General Agency Office has always achieved the highest new premium collection and continuously broken records. Currently, the Office is taking care of about 30 thousand customers, and is working hard with AIA Vietnam to implement the plan to protect 1 million Vietnamese customers in 2018. With a team of about 2,500 insurance agents, it has contributed to protecting more than 600,000 customers. Revenue at the office from 200 million VND/month (in 2004) has now reached nearly 25 billion VND/month; he and his office are working hard towards the goal of building the million-dollar AIA Nghe An office.

A dynamic environment with humanistic values is the glue that has kept Mr. Ha Van Phuc attached to AIA Vietnam for the past 12 years. He does not ask for much, is not jealous of anyone's success, is always enthusiastic about his job and does not forget to do many good deeds to show gratitude to life. When asked about the reason that helped him achieve these "achievements", Mr. Phuc shared: "If we have not succeeded, why not ask why we have not succeeded? After being successful, we ask ourselves if we can do better? Those questions are the aspirations in work and in life for us to reach and are the motivation that urges me and the AIA Nghe An team to continuously set and break the records we set ourselves."
Insurance agents need to come to customers with all their hearts, not for their own revenue or income. It is that belief that has made him successful and shine in the insurance industry for 12 years. 12 years with AIA Vietnam is a long and fulfilling journey for him. “AIA has given me a very good financial income, a great environment for passion and dedication. However, what I appreciate most about coming to AIA is the environment, the place to learn and improve the knowledge, skills, courage, and vision that a manager needs. Those things can never be bought with a lot of money.”
