Sputnik investigated the cause and learned that even in the world of cinema, politics is unavoidable.

"I got a letter from my agent and was so excited that it was approved, and I didn't have to audition. Of course, the offer to work in Hollywood is a great joy for every actor, but then I started reading the character description and the script. In my opinion, it was a terrible plot. And I wrote to them: 'Sorry, I can't play this delirium, the story is too politicized.'

According to the actor, the story is similar to the 2002 film «Behind the enemy lines» about the war in Yugoslavia. In the new film, the conflict is between Ukraine and Russia. Taktarov is supposed to play the leader of the bad guys, destroying a village in Ukraine and shooting down a US plane.

"I did not refuse without hesitation… I am sure that someone from above ordered this film to be made. This is not a situation where the studios are confident that the plot is great, and the film will bring big revenue. No, this is a political project. I do not know who is behind it, maybe any party or group of people. I do not think that this film decided to withdraw because the producers believe in its success," - said the Russian actor.
