Proud to entrust your faith
(Baonghean) - The ceremony honoring outstanding students who won international, regional, and national awards, as well as those who achieved high scores in the 2015 national high school graduation exam, held on the evening of September 12th at the Provincial Labor Culture House, truly highlighted the significance of nurturing future generations – the human resources for the future. The ceremony was a convergence of the tradition of studiousness and the aspiration for advancement of Nghe An province.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of parents and students, and the atmosphere became even warmer as leaders from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Nghe An provincial leaders enthusiastically entered the hall, joining in the joy of the children's academic achievements, which embodied the shared hopes of the Party Committee and the people of the province for a prosperous future for the heroic Nghe An homeland.
During the ceremony, we met many familiar faces, including Nguyen Ngoc Khanh (a 12th-grade student from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, winner of a Silver Medal at the International Physics Olympiad and a Gold Medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad), and Hoang Anh Tai (a 12th-grade student from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, winner of a Silver Medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad). Taking advantage of the brief moments before the ceremony, Khanh and Tai were sharing their experiences and study secrets with the younger students, emphasizing "passion, effort, and diligence"... Nguyen Nhu Hau, a new student at Hanoi Medical University (formerly a student from Thanh Chuong 1 High School), also managed to catch a bus to the Provincial Labor Culture House to attend the awards ceremony. In the recent national high school graduation exam, Nguyen Nhu Hau was one of the 10 candidates who achieved a perfect score of 10 in Mathematics in the Vinh exam cluster, with a total score of 27.75 points across the three subjects. Hau shared: "My dream of becoming a doctor has been nurtured since I was very young, when my mother was seriously ill and bedridden for two years... My family is currently facing financial difficulties. After starting university, I will try to arrange my time to tutor to earn extra money to cover my student living expenses. I am very happy to attend the ceremony; this will certainly motivate me to study better."

Attending this year's awards ceremony was Nguyen Thi Minh Chi, the national runner-up in the A-block (a former student of Nguyen Xuan On High School - Dien Chau), accompanied by her mother. In the recent national high school graduation exam, she achieved 29.25 points. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Lam (Minh Chi's mother) couldn't hide her tears of joy and pride for her daughter: "Parents and teachers believe Minh Chi will achieve even more great things..." Minh Chi softly shared her future plans with us: She chose to attend Hanoi University of Pharmacy because she believes that research and pharmaceutical development suit her abilities, skills, and personality. She believes that to cure diseases, besides having good doctors, one also needs good medicines... She plans to focus on learning English and French to better support her studies and research in pharmacy.
Meanwhile, young Party member and future police officer Nguyen Duc Nga was engrossed in conversation with his teacher (in the recent national high school graduation exam, this poor student from Nam Dan 2 High School achieved 28 points in Block A and 27 points in Block B). For Nga, being present at this honoring night is not only due to his own efforts throughout his 12 years of high school, but also thanks to the dedicated teachers who have passed on the flame of knowledge and given him the strength to achieve high academic results. Nguyen Duc Nga confided: "I chose to enter the Police Academy because I want to be trained to become a strong and useful person; moreover, studying this field will ease the burden on my parents… Coming to this honoring ceremony today, I am very moved by the care and attention of the provincial leaders and the Education Department… I feel that I need to strive to absorb the traditions of my homeland, develop the qualities of a Nghe An person to have a useful journey in the future."
...During the ceremony, in the moment of honor, the organizing committee showed short documentaries about the scholarly land of Nghe An as a message: Here, the love of learning, studiousness, and academic excellence have become ingrained in every household and every way of thinking of the people of Nghe An. With each exam season, across the villages, countless students emerge as role models conquering the heights of international intellectual competitions, and many students overcome difficulties to achieve outstanding academic results.
The outstanding students honored today are promising talents and will be a source of high-quality human resources for our homeland in the future. Nghe An is proud of you and hopes you will continue to bring glory to our land of learning – This was the message from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong, in his speech at this honoring ceremony. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that the students would emulate the examples of their ancestors who overcame difficulties and studied hard to achieve success, such as the First-ranked Scholar Bach Lieu; the three father and sons who all passed the imperial examinations: Ho Tong Thoc, Ho Tong Ton, and Ho Tong Thanh; the two father and son who both earned doctorates: Ngo Tri Tri and Ngo Tri Hoa; the First-ranked Scholar Phan Van San (Phan Boi Chau); and especially the beloved President Ho Chi Minh… He hoped that the students would recognize the immense gratitude they owe to their parents and teachers, build a positive ideal for themselves, have the right motivation, live for their families and society, and make positive contributions to the construction and development of the country...
