How much does it cost to pay BOT fees from South to North?
The Ministry of Transport has just denied the information that container trucks traveling from the South to the North spend 93 million VND in BOT fees; while the General Department of Roads said there are 2 options for spending money on BOT and the maximum amount is only 4.8 million VND.
Recently, some news channels reported that Vietnam has 88 BOT toll stations on national highways and each container truck traveling from North to South only spends about 20 million VND on gasoline, but up to 93 million VND on BOT fees.

Before this information, Deputy Minister ofTransportationNguyen Ngoc Dong said that this information came from nowhere and was inaccurate.
On the same day, the leader of the General Department of Roads confirmed that the largest vehicle traveling from Lang Son to Bac Lieu only costs over 4.8 million VND and proposed 2 options with a total cost of 4.5 million VND to 4.8 million VND for group 5 vehicles, which are container trucks.
Specifically, according to option 1, vehicles follow the old National Highway 1 route with a total of 29 toll stations for road service use. The total ticket price for 1 vehicle traveling from Lang Son province to Bac Lieu province is as follows: type 1 ticket is 865,000 VND, type 2 is 1,238,000 VND, type 3 is 1,823,000 VND, type 4 is 2,975,000 VND and type 5 is 4,540,000 VND.
Option 2 follows the Phap Van - Cao Bo expressway route with 29 stations with the total ticket price for 1 vehicle going from Lang Son to Bac Lieu as follows: Type 1 ticket is 955,000 VND, type 2 is 1,325,000 VND, type 3 is 1,978,000 VND, type 4 is 3,150,000 VND and type 5 is 4,805,000 VND.
For National Highway 14, there are 5 stations with total ticket prices for 1 vehicle traveling the entire route as follows: Type 1 ticket is 175,000 VND, type 2 is 250,000 VND, type 3 is 375,000 VND, type 4 is 640,000 VND and type 5 is 940,000 VND.
