Specifically, the PC67 Department stated that, based on Circular No. 54 of 2015 regarding the registration and issuance of license plates for electric motorcycles (adding Article 25a to Circular No. 15/2014 of the Ministry of Public Security), from December 7th, electric motorcycles must undergo license plate registration procedures.

"If, after June 30, 2016, vehicle owners do not register their vehicles but use them to participate in traffic, it is a violation of the law and will be severely punished," a representative of the Hanoi Traffic Police Department emphasized.

Regarding the procedures for registering license plates for electric motorbikes, PC67 stated that people need to go to the Vehicle Management Teams at the Police Department of each district to complete the procedures.

When coming to complete the procedures, please prepare the following relevant documents: Motorcycle/electric motorbike registration application form (according to the template); Photocopy of household registration book (for cases where the vehicle owner is an individual); Letter of introduction from the agency or organization (for cases where the vehicle owner is an agency or organization);

Present the ID card or citizen identification card of the person registering the vehicle; if the vehicle owner is an individual, also present the original household registration book for verification.

Within a maximum of two working days from the date of receiving all valid documents, the vehicle registration authority will process and issue the vehicle registration certificate to the vehicle owner.

For vehicles without an engine number, where the vehicle registration authority cannot stamp the engine number, the vehicle registration certificate issued to the owner will state "none" in the "engine number" section.
