The first impression upon arriving in Quynh Thach commune (Quynh Luu district) is that the new rural development program has truly transformed the area, with well-built multi-story buildings, concrete inter-village roads, and straight canals. Besides the Ree 2 power line, the commune is continuing to build the Quynh Vien craft village road. Furthermore, the road from Quynh Thanh through Bau Sen to National Highway 1A and from National Highway 1A to Quynh Hoa - Ngoc Son creates a clean, beautiful, and convenient belt for traffic between communes in the region.

(Baonghean)The first impression upon arriving in Quynh Thach commune (Quynh Luu district) is that the new rural development program has truly transformed the area, with well-built multi-story buildings, concrete inter-village roads, and straight canals.

According to the commune's leaders, the total investment value in the area in 2012 reached 40.832 billion VND, of which 14.7 billion VND came from the provincial budget, 2.135 billion VND from the commune budget, and the remainder from people's contributions and other sources.

Nguyen Dinh Ha, Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Thach commune, affirmed: "These achievements are due to the effective implementation of propaganda and mobilization work among the people, especially through learning and following the Party's newspaper." Despite difficult economic conditions and limited revenue, the leaders of Quynh Thach commune determined that doing a good job of ideological work among Party members and cadres is essential for effectiveness and creating a high level of consensus, including information and guidance from the Party's newspaper.

From that perspective, although difficult, the commune leaders prioritize funding for subscribing to Party newspapers and magazines, including the Nghe An newspaper. Currently, Quynh Thach has provided the Nghe An newspaper to all 16 Party branches and key leaders. Information in the Party newspaper is updated quickly, and many policy documents from the Central Committee, the province, and the relevant sectors are published promptly, creating an important information channel for the leadership of the Party committee, the administration of the government, and many good models and practices in economic development.

Quynh Thach has skillfully and successfully applied its principles in many areas, especially those requiring public consensus, such as mobilizing people to donate land for road construction and land clearance for new rural development. A prime example is Hamlet 10, where residents donated over 1,000 square meters of land for the construction of a road for the export-oriented rattan and bamboo weaving craft village. Notable contributors include the family of Ms. Le Thi Lan, who donated 200 square meters; the family of Mr. Ho Van Sung, who donated 100 square meters; and the family of Mr. Dang Ngoc Hien, who donated 98 square meters. The key to this success lies in the hamlet's organization of Party branch meetings and hamlet meetings. Through these meetings, exemplary cases and best practices in new rural development, published in the Party newspaper, were widely disseminated, allowing everyone to learn and emulate. This facilitated easier and more effective leadership and guidance.

Through the Nghe An newspaper, the people of Quynh Thach have learned many experiences in doing business, building cultural life, developing the economy, and striving to become wealthy. For example, in Hamlet 10, there are many successful farm and livestock models with annual incomes exceeding one hundred million dong, such as those of Mr. Tran Hau Huong, Mr. Ho Van Ninh, and Mr. Dang Ngoc Son… Mr. Nguyen Ba Binh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front and Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the commune, said: “The Party Committee's resolution is to eliminate 3-3.5% of poor households each year, with the policy of assigning each Party member to be responsible for 7-11 households with specific addresses. This policy has achieved good results, including exemplary cases of poverty alleviation and legitimate wealth creation that have been publicized in the Party newspaper.”

As one of the nine pilot units for new rural development in Quynh Luu district, Quynh Thach has completed 11 criteria so far, with 3 more nearing completion. With the right direction, in line with the people's wishes, and valuable experiences and effective methods learned from the Party's newspaper, it is believed that Quynh Thach will develop faster and soon achieve its new rural development goals.
