Repair and restoration of Dien Hung - Quynh Tho sea dike (Quynh Luu)
Fulfilling the commitment to return the construction site after the construction of the coastal road project from Dien Hung commune (Dien Chau) to Quynh Tho commune (Quynh Luu), contractors are repairing the affected dike surface to hand it over to the localities.

Specifically, previously, due to the construction of the coastal road through the area, many sections of the dike had cracks and the dike surface was peeling off, so according to the commitment. Since the end of November, the units have cleaned the entire surface and foot of the dike to check the current status. From December 1, 2024, the units have organized the construction of re-pouring the sea dike surface with concrete according to the approved design, accordingly, the entire sea dike surface was poured with an additional 20 cm of concrete, smoothed...

In addition, to serve people and vehicles to travel conveniently and safely at the intersections between the dike and residential roads, the connection height between the dike surface and the current residential road system is also gradually lowered.

The representative of the Traffic Works Investment Management Board, Department of Transport said: The total cost of repairing and restoring works affected by the construction of the coastal road is over 50 billion VND, which is being constructed under the form of bidding. In addition to the main item of repairing, raising and resurfacing nearly 3 km of the sea dike surface from the intersection between the sea dike and the coastal road at Hung Phong hamlet, Dien Hung commune (Dien Chau) to the foot of Son Tho bridge, Quynh Tho commune (Quynh Luu), on this occasion, contractors also surveyed and re-constructed damaged culverts and some other residential roads.

The project to repair the nearly 3km long dike is being constructed and repaired in a rolling manner. The construction period is expected to be more than 1 month and efforts will be made to complete and hand over the dike to localities before the 2025 New Year and other projects before the Lunar New Year. During the construction period, vehicles are not allowed to travel on the dike and warnings are given to divert traffic accordingly./.
