Death from taking selfie while wearing flip flops
A young tourist slipped and died after falling off a cliff in a Los Angeles park on August 19.
Lorena Barrera, 21, from Reno, Nevada, USA, moved to Los Angeles on August 19. On her first day in her new home, Lorena and her friends went to Point Fermin Park.
Wanting to take a good photo, she climbed a high cliff overlooking the sea to take a photo. However, Lorena slipped on her flip-flops and fell 30 meters down the cliff, and then died, according to Timesnews.

Point Fermin Park in Los Angeles is about 15 hectares wide. With wide lawns and shady trees, especially the spectacular view of the ocean from high cliffs, the park has become a famous tourist attraction that attracts visitors, especially young people.
But locals say it is not a safe place. Many young tourists have lost their chance to live here. Previously, on August 7, two tourists died when they visited the cliff.
