Tuan Anh and Cong Phuong return to play in V-League
Boss Doan Nguyen Duc decided not to let two HAGL stars extend their loan contracts with Japanese clubs, but instead brought them back to compete in V-League 2017.
"The contracts of Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh with Mito Hollyhock and Yokohama have expired. The two Japanese teams sent a letter requesting an extension, but Mr. Duc refused," head of the HAGL football team Nguyen Tan Anh told VnExpress.

"Next season, Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh will play with HAGL in the V-League. Mr. Duc did this not for the club's achievements but because he wanted them to have more competition, and further, to get acquainted with teammates who can wear the U22 Vietnam shirt to compete at the 29th SEA Games."
Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh joined Mito Hollyhock and Yokohama in early 2016 on a one-year loan deal. In Japan, the duo has not been used much. Cong Phuong has only appeared in six matches for Mito Hollyhock, mostly coming off the bench. Tuan Anh has only been used twice in J-League 2.
“Mr. Duc wants to give top priority to the goal of winning a gold medal at the 29th SEA Games. If Mito Hollyhock and Yokohama really want Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh, Mr. Duc will let them come in 2018,” Mr. Tan Anh added.
