Exciting National Spring Newspaper Festival Canh Dan 2010
In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 80th glorious spring of the Party and welcoming the new spring, this morning, at Giang Vo Exhibition Center - Hanoi, the Opening Ceremony of the National Spring Newspaper Festival Canh Dan 2010 took place from February 4 to 7, 2010.
Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, comrades of the Party Central Committee: Le Doan Hop - Minister of Information and Communications, Dinh The Huynh - Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper - Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nguyen Bac Son - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, representatives of ministries, branches, Hanoi city, journalist associations of provinces and cities across the country attended.

After the opening speech of the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Dinh The Huynh, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong spoke in recognition of the growth and maturity of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, welcoming the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Ministry of Information and Communications, together with journalist associations nationwide, to organize the Spring Press Festival. He hoped that the current press would continue to promote the tradition of revolutionary journalism, well implement the principles and purposes for the cause of the Party, the country and the entire people, contributing to accelerating the industrialization and modernization of the country, for the goal of a rich people, a strong country, a fair, democratic and civilized society.

This year's Spring Press Festival has 67 press agencies participating with 114 booths displaying publications, introducing Canh Dan Tet press publications, radio and television programs, and electronic newspapers to serve people in the spring and welcome the New Year; displaying and introducing achievements and developments in modern press technology, and contesting to present covers of newspapers and magazines for Tet issues.

At the end of the Spring Newspaper Festival, all the displayed publications will be presented to border and island soldiers. In addition, the Ministry of Information and Communications will select outstanding publications to display in the capital city of Paris.

The exhibition booth of Nghe An Journalists Association gathered all the spring publications of the following newspapers: Nghe An, Nghe An Police, Nghe An Labor, Military Zone 4, Song Lam Magazine, Nghe An Culture Magazine, Nghe An Journalists Magazine and the exhibition of Nghe An Radio and Television Station. Party and State leaders and many colleagues visited, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of Nghe An press at the Spring Press Festival.
