Remembering Cuong Temple means remembering our roots, the glorious ancient history of our nation, along with myths and legends about "the divine manifestation," "Dau Can Mountain," "the chessboard of the immortals," "the oath turned to stone," "the founder of the blacksmithing craft," etc. It is especially a tribute to the contributions of Thuc An Duong Vuong, who fought against the Qin and drove out the Zhao, bringing independence and freedom to the nation.
The Cuong Temple Festival consists of two parts: the ceremonial part and the festive part. The ceremonial part involves a procession carrying the ancestral tablets of Thuc An Duong Vuong, the princess, and other deities from Xuan Ai communal house to Cuong Temple, praying for favorable weather, bountiful harvests, family reunions, and the well-being and happiness of the people. The festive part is lively with cultural and artistic activities, sports, and unique and attractive folk games that attract a large number of visitors from all over. In addition to folk games, this year's festival also offers many attractive games for children such as: circus performances, carousel rides, and a competition to see who can blow balloons the fastest...
