To commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2012), Tan Thanh 1 block (Le Mao ward, Vinh City) solemnly and joyfully organized the National Unity Day and reviewed one year of the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life in Residential Areas" campaign. Attending the event were Mr. Thai Van Hang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Vinh City, along with a large number of residents from the block.

Comrade Thai Van Hang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech and presented gifts from the Provincial People's Committee on the occasion of the Solidarity Day of Tan Thanh 1 block (Le Mao ward - Vinh City).
Tan Thanh 1 block is one of the blocks in Le Mao ward that has consistently received excellent ratings in many aspects. Over the past period, many social organizations within the block have strived to carry out practical and effective activities that have had a profound impact on the people. The women's association has mobilized a credit fund of over 400 million VND. The "Fat Pig Raising" movement raised over 4 million VND, which was used to visit and give gifts to members in difficult circumstances or who were sick. Nearly 98% of households met the criteria of "Warm, Equal, Progressive, and Happy Families." During the year, the Education Promotion Association implemented many rich and practical activities. Over 3 million VND was allocated from the fund to reward 92 children with academic achievements and 4 families with achievements in building the movement for promoting education. To gradually improve the quality of life and complete the infrastructure of cultural institutions, the block mobilized residents to build a welcome gate, construct a lighting system, and renovate the block's cultural house... The total resources mobilized amounted to over 246 million VND. Residents in the block also actively supported poor households in Ky Son, victims of Agent Orange, and other funds with a total amount of over 30 million VND. This year, Tan Thanh 1 block was recommended by the Ward People's Committee to the Provincial People's Committee for recognition as a provincial-level cultural unit. Summary of the Emulation Movement In the 2012 patriotic emulation campaign, the block honored 3 collectives and 15 individuals for their outstanding achievements in effective social activities. The block's Front Committee was the only unit in the ward to be nominated for a commendation by the Vinh City Fatherland Front Committee. Out of 234 households in the block, 226 were recognized as "Culturally Advanced Families," with only 1 poor household (due to illness and disability) and 2 near-poor households remaining.

Speaking at the block's Solidarity Day, Mr. Thai Van Hang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, clearly outlined five issues, particularly emphasizing the block's leadership's attention to the work of war invalids and martyrs, policies for people with meritorious services, and humanitarian activities. Also on this occasion, the block's Front Committee launched the "Day for the Poor" and "Helping Each Other Develop the Economy" emulation campaigns, striving for a clean, beautiful, and closely united block, imbued with the spirit of "mutual support and solidarity."
