Kim Jon-un is a very private person. Very little information about him and his family is known to outsiders.

Kim Jong-un's wife is named Ri Sol Ju. North Korea announced the leader's marriage in July 2012, weeks after the couple first appeared in a photo together.

Kim Jong-un and Ri Sol Ju were reportedly married in 2009, just before he replaced his father as North Korea's supreme leader.

"The late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il rushed to arrange a marriage for his youngest son after he suffered a stroke in 2008," the Express quoted Cheong Seong-chang, an analyst at the Sejong Institute in Seoul.

Ri Sol Ju has been identified as a member of the Unhasu Orchestra but few details about the woman have been made public.

In December 2012, Ri Sol Ju appeared in a photo with a pregnant belly. Dennis Rodman, a former American basketball star and close friend of Kim Jong-un, later revealed that she had given birth to a daughter and named her Ju-ae.

Ri Sol Ju often disappears from public view for months at a time, leading to various speculations about her private life.

Ri Sol Ju's last public appearance was at a banquet celebrating North Korea's successful launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile in July.

Ri Sol Ju is believed to have been born on September 28, 1989, making her 27 years old this year.

Kim Jong-un's real age is also a matter of concern. Pyongyang officially announced his birth date as January 8, 1982. However, the US Treasury Department stated that he was born in 1984.
