'Youth of provincial agencies: solidarity - initiative - intelligence - responsibility'

(Baonghean.vn) - That is the slogan of the action of the Congress of the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies for the 2017-2022 term held on the afternoon of July 9, which was set out to affirm the determination of the youth of the agencies.

During the term, the Youth Union of the provincial CCQ bloc had 12 groups and 150 individuals recognized as typical examples following Uncle Ho's words. The bloc also recognized 85 outstanding young cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the period 2010-2015; organized and participated in 9 voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting 2,276 units of blood; organized 9 medical examinations and provided free medicine to nearly 6,000 subjects; organized 30 "Bowl of Love" programs, distributing more than 1,100 free meals and porridge at hospitals and centers.

The Provincial Party Committee's Youth Union supported the construction of 5 gratitude houses; organized visits and presented 825 gifts worth over 3 billion VND on the occasions of July 27 and Lunar New Year to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, Agent Orange victims, poor students who overcame difficulties, and vulnerable groups.

Honoring 377 outstanding children with a total of 754 million VND in gifts and scholarships; continuing to sponsor 23 disadvantaged children who have excelled in their studies in the province; giving over 1,500 gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year, Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and the new school year with a total value of over 150 million VND/year.

Since the beginning of the term, the Provincial Party Committee's Youth Union has introduced 1,220 outstanding members to the Party, of which 858 comrades have been honored to join the Party, accounting for 75.79% of the entire Party Committee.

Promoting the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and the intelligence and mettle of today's youth, the youth of the Provincial Agencies are determined to strive, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and successfully implement the goals and tasks set out by the Congress.

Accordingly, the Congress agreed on the goal of building a strong Youth Union organization; enhancing the training of ideals, revolutionary ethics, political mettle and spiritual and cultural life for union members and young people, contributing to building a team of young cadres, civil servants and public employees with mettle, intelligence, solidarity and responsibility; closely linking professional tasks with the implementation of Union activities.

Promoting the pioneering and creative role of youth to contribute to the excellent completion of political tasks of agencies and units; actively caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of youth union members; encouraging and motivating youth union members to study, practice, innovate, create, and master modern science and technology with the action slogan of the Congress being "Youth of provincial agencies: solidarity - pioneering - intelligence - responsibility".

At the Congress, delegates presented many quality papers, focusing on issues that young people in provincial agencies are interested in, such as the paper by the Nghe An Newspaper Youth Union on youth issues and social networks, showing that although social networks are very convenient and bring many benefits, they also contain extremely dangerous things.

Therefore, young people need to form the habit of questioning things and events they see on social networks so as not to be swept away by one-sided information and arguments that distort the nature of the problem; besides, they need to have experience in real life outside of social networks.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Pham Tuan Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union acknowledged the contributions of the Provincial Youth Union to the Youth Union movement of the province. In addition, he also reminded the youth union members of the Provincial Youth Union to be more active in studying and practicing the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh; improve professional expertise, promote the role of young civil servants in building the provincial agencies to be increasingly developed, leading in administrative reform, applying modern science and technology and improving the quality of youth union activities.

Next, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc acknowledged the important contributions of the union members and youth of the provincial agencies; at the same time, she hoped that the union members and youth of the Bloc would be more active, dynamic and creative in their work and movement activities to successfully carry out the tasks set out in the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

At the Congress, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong presented a banner with the words "Youth Union of Provincial Government Agencies: Solidarity - Initiative - Intelligence - Responsibility, Contributing to Building a Strong Party Committee". Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh presented the Provincial Government Agencies Union with the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Youth Union to an outstanding unit in the Youth Union movement for the 2012-2017 term.

The Congress elected 22 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Youth Union for the 2017-2022 term and 6 delegates to attend the Provincial Youth Union Congress.

The Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies elected 6 members of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies; elected comrade Nguyen Xuan Tiep as Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies; elected the Inspection Committee of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies.

The 7th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Provincial Agencies, term 2017 - 2022, affirmed that this is an important political event for young people, marking a new development stage of the Youth Union work and youth movement of provincial agencies.
