School youth give comments on draft political report of congresses at all levels

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 6, the Provincial Youth Union held a conference to contribute ideas to the draft political report of the National Youth Union Congress and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress in school units.

At the conference, representatives of young people from universities and colleges gave many comments on the layout and title of the report; the evaluation of the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the past term; especially the limitations, shortcomings and goals and directions of the Youth Union work in the period 2017 - 2022.

Comments on the draft political report of the 11th National Congress of the Youth Union, BThe Secretary of Vinh University Youth Union recommends that in implementing volunteer movements, it is necessary to supplement propaganda activities to people in remote areas about environmental protection knowledge and add content on preventing child sexual abuse to the program of activities.

Regarding the draft political report of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress, the representative of Vinh Technical University proposed to grasp and provide specific data on the number of scientific works researched by students, universities, colleges and to add specific indicators for the school sector.

The Secretary of the Youth Union of the Vietnam - Germany Vocational College expressed his opinion that social networks are currently a tool that has a very strong impact on the lives and thoughts of young people, so the draft political report of the Youth Union congresses at all levels also needs to study and include this content in order to have practical solutions to help young people promote the positive effects of social networks, while minimizing the negative impacts on the young generation.

The representative of Nghe An University of Economics said that it is necessary to study and adjust some criteria on creative startups for students to be more suitable. The Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Medical University said: For the goal of building charitable houses and dream-making houses for children, it is necessary to consider adjusting the criteria appropriately.

Regarding the youth gathering target, Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Medical University Le Dong Hieu proposed to raise the target to 65%, however, it is necessary to propose specific and effective methods to avoid administratively gathering youth union members.

Many opinions say that: developing resources and recruiting and training union cadres are currently facing many difficulties, and union chapters at all levels also need to focus on providing solutions to overcome these difficulties and build a team of quality union cadres.

At the conference, some opinions suggested adding content on disseminating knowledge and understanding of the situation and religious activities in the area; the results achieved in building economic development models for youth union members to the draft political report of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Congress.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Thom acknowledged the comments and assigned the professional committees to synthesize them to contribute to completing a quality political report for the congress.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union also organized a summary of the Olympic Competition on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought "Light of the Way" in Nghe An province in 2017. Five units were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Youth Union for having many quality youth union members participating in the competition, including: Vinh University, Vinh Technical Pedagogical University, University of Economics, Vinh Medical University and Nghe An Pedagogical College.
