Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Youth Union pays tribute to heroic martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), on July 25, the Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee organized a flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. This activity is part of the series of events "Youth pays tribute to heroic martyrs" of the Youth Union at all levels.

At the special national historical site of Dong Loc T-junction (Dong Loc commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province), the delegation came to offer flowers and incense at the memorial stele of the national Youth Volunteers, where the names of more than 4,000 Youth Volunteers nationwide are recorded. The delegation also organized a flower offering and incense offering at the graves of 10 heroic female Youth Volunteers at Dong Loc T-junction.
Next, the delegation offered incense at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple at Long Dai ferry in Hien Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province. This isone of the fire coordinates, was the focus of bombing and crazy destruction by the American empire from 1965 to 1972. Here, 15 youth volunteers from Nghe An, only eighteen or twenty years old, sacrificed their lives on June 16, 1972. After that, another series of bombs took the lives of 15 young men and women C130 youth volunteers from Thai Binh.
On the journey back to the source, the delegation visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap and visited the General's memorial house.

Before the souls of heroes and martyrs, the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and remembered the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause of the Party, for the cause of national liberation and the happiness of the people.
The Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee pledges to always uphold the revolutionary tradition, strive and contribute more to the Party's revolutionary cause, contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich and civilized.
