(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 28th, at the Tuong Duong District Cultural Center, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Tuong Duong District, in coordination with the Nghe An Provincial Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the General Hospital, and the Tuong Duong District Red Cross Society, organized a voluntary blood donation event for 2013.

According to the 2013 target, Tuong Duong district was assigned to mobilize and provide 143 units of blood. According to the registration list this time, 276 people participated. On the morning of August 28th alone, approximately 400 people came to register for testing and volunteer to donate blood. Among the volunteers were many officials and staff from the District Party Committee, the District People's Committee, various departments, organizations, teachers, and students from schools in the area. As a result, the amount of blood collected exceeded the target by over 50%.
