Tuong Duong distributes iodized salt to poor households

(Baonghean.vn) - Tuong Duong district has just organized the distribution of iodized salt and seasoning powder to poor households in the area.

Accordingly, 2,408 kg of iodized salt and 3,612 kg of seasoning powder were distributed to 317 households with 1,204 people living in Tam Quang commune, each person received 2 kg of iodized salt and 3 kg of seasoning powder.

The allocation is carried out in accordance with Decision No. 102/2009/QD-TTg, dated August 7, 2009 of the Prime Minister on direct support policy for poor households in disadvantaged areas and Decision No. 2709/QD-UBND, dated June 22, 2017 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on approving the budget estimate and organizing the implementation of direct support policy for poor households in disadvantaged areas in 2017.

It is known that Tuong Duong district has 7,540 households with 32,453 beneficiaries under this policy. According to the plan, by the end of October, the district will complete the distribution of 64,906 kg of iodized salt and 97,359 kg of seasoning powder to people in 17 communes in the district.
