(Baonghean.vn) - The National Assembly delegation of the province conducted a thematic meeting in Tuong Duong district aboutState policy towards ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, remote areas, and particularly difficult areas.
The National Assembly delegation visited the remote commune of Nga My, more than 70 km from the center of Hoa Binh town. Here, the People's Committee of Nga My commune reported on the implementation of the local socio-economic achievements. The local people raised difficulties such as the current deterioration of some works of Project 135.
Specifically, the clean water project in Na Ngan village has been damaged by floods for 2-3 years and has not been repaired, while people lack water. The inter-village road system is seriously degraded, for that reason many children in the remote village of Nga My commune have dropped out of school.

| On the morning of March 24, the delegation of the National Assembly deputies of the province, including Deputy Heads of the Provincial National Assembly Deputies: Nguyen Thanh Hien and Tran Van Mao and Ms. Dinh Thi Kieu Trinh - National Assembly Deputies, met with voters on a thematic basis in Tuong Duong district with contents related to the State's policies for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas, remote areas, and areas with special difficulties. |
After listening to voters' opinions, the National Assembly deputies encouraged the people and will work with management agencies and functional sectors to resolve difficulties for the people.
Also in the morning, the National Assembly Delegation worked with the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district on the implementation of ethnic policies associated with socio-economic development in recent times.
Thanks to the State's policies, people's lives have been increasingly improved. Specifically, in 2016, infrastructure development projects were granted more than 17 billion VND, production development projects 3.5 billion VND, 30a development projects more than 19 billion VND, and production support development projects more than 18 billion VND.

However, there are still difficulties in transportation, currently Huu Khuong commune does not have a car road to the village. Some policies have been issued but the instructions are slow, there are no specific instructions.
On behalf of the working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien acknowledged the attention and active direction of Party committees, authorities at all levels, departments, branches, and mass organizations in implementing ethnic policies in the area; at the same time, he received and responded to recommendations and proposals from the locality.
