According to RT on August 4, in an interview with Fox Business, retired US Army Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg said that while US rivals such as Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea have become more united and joined forces over the past three years to challenge US power, Washington is still not ready to respond.

According to General Kellogg, the cause does not come from the state of the armed forces, but depends on the leadership role of the president – the instructions of Mr. Biden as commander in chief, and head of the national security apparatus.

General Kellogg believes that what the US needs to do is send a clear signal to both allies and opponents, such as: "We are strong, we will respond, be careful with us!" However, the reality is that America's opponents have actively responded with both force and pressure.

“You can have the most powerful military in the world, but if you’re not willing to use it to make threats or demands, it means nothing. It means nothing to you or your opponent,” General Kellogg said.

According to Fox Business, President Joe Biden is currently considering trips to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in the final months of his term. While General Kellogg believes that leaders will still welcome President Biden with great respect, there will be no important highlights because they are only interested in the upcoming presidential election.
