While playing with his friends, T. crawled into the pipe and slipped through the rectangular opening to the outside. Because the opening was narrow, his head got stuck but his feet did not touch the ground, so he fainted.

Regarding the death of a 3-year-old child while playing at Phu Lo Kindergarten (Soc Son District, Hanoi), the People's Committee of Soc Son District has reported on the incident.

Accordingly, at around 8:45 a.m. on November 25, during the outdoor activity of the D2 kindergarten class of the school, DT (born January 30, 2017) and his friends participated in a game and had an accident while playing on the horizontal climbing house.

When T. crawled into the square pipe, his legs and body slipped through the rectangular vent and out.

Because the ventilation hole was narrow, T.'s head got stuck while his feet did not touch the ground outside, so he was in a hanging position, leading to fainting.

Upon discovering the incident, the teachers took T. to the school's medical room for first aid, then took him to a higher-level hospital for emergency care.

Although doctors at the National Children's Hospital tried their best to save him, by 9:00 p.m. the same day, T. had died.

Doctors at the Emergency Department of the National Children's Hospital said that baby T. was transferred to Bac Thang Long Hospital at 10:45 a.m. on November 25, in a deep coma, unresponsive to stimulation, dilated pupils, heart rate 140 beats/minute; blood pressure 101/47, with some small hemorrhages on the face.

When Thang Long Hospital received the child, his heart had stopped. However, after receiving emergency treatment, about 10 minutes later, the patient's heartbeat returned. Due to the child's serious condition, Bac Thang Long Hospital transferred the child to the National Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

At the National Children's Hospital, baby T. was given emergency care, assisted with balloon compression via endotracheal tube, and cardiac medication. Doctors determined that the patient had multiple organ failure, including cerebral edema and kidney failure. At 4:45 p.m., the patient went into cardiac arrest. Doctors performed emergency care but the child's heart did not beat again.

Soc Son District People's Committee has directed the Department of Education and Training, district police, and relevant authorities to investigate, verify, and clarify the incident.

The locality also focused on clarifying the causes and responsibilities of each individual and collective involved.

When there is an official conclusion from Soc Son District Police, the District People's Committee will strictly handle related individuals and groups according to the provisions of law.
